  • BRS helped the U.S. Census Monitoring Board identify motivations for census participation and persuasive messages for increasing participation in the 2000 Census.

  • BRS informed the U.S. Census Bureau on the most effective ways to explain Census methodology to the public, and on how to improve the Census forms in 2000.

  • BRS revealed Americans' expectations, desires, and fears about Social Security and the federal budget, in a project for the U.S. Bipartisan Commission on Entitlement Reform.

  • BRS measured resident satisfaction with city services and residents' priorities for city government in two major cities: the District of Columbia, for the D.C. Financial Responsibility and Management Assistance Authority (Control Board), and in Flint, Michigan for the mayor's office.
